Two of our Soundtrails, made it into the 2023 shortlist of the Sound Walk September competition: Sonidos de Teotihuacan, produced by Simon Bradley and Adje Both, and Portland, The Town that Built Sydney, produced by Hamish Sewell. While Portland made it into the top four entries, we were pipped to the post by the two winners, Headford Lace Trail by producer Ed Coulson, and Semi-Colon by Dawn Matheson. Congratulations to both these teams and these projects which are warm-hearted, highly creative and entailed extensive researching and production. We’d also like to acknowledge the selfless work of the Walk Listen Create team – namely Geert Vermeire, Andrew Stuck and Babak Fakhamzadeh. Soundtrails are proud sponsors of the Walk Listen Create which is clearly staking out the sound walk turf and furthering a broader recognition of the art form and scholarship of the situated listening experience.
