Soundtrails brings place based storytelling into primary education, giving students the tools to explore the stories, people, history and environments around them and turn what they discover into immersive audio experiences.
Students move beyond simply learning about a place. They interview people, conduct research, write narratives, record sound, work collaboratively and use digital mapping to create something that can be experienced by a real audience.
Along the way, they build communication, creativity, confidence and digital production skills while developing a deeper connection to their local community.
Students do not just learn about a place. They become part of telling its story.
For schools and educators looking for new ways to bring together storytelling, fieldwork, technology and place based learning, we would love to start a conversation.
